Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Sonic Healthcare. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and customer-focused service while performing venipuncture on patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process blood and non-blood specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control in the laboratory setting.
  • Provide education and support to patients and healthcare teams on laboratory procedures and results.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
  • Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
