Senior Tax Consultant

About Us:
We are a well-established CPA and advisory firm with nearly a century of successful operations. We are in search of a highly qualified Tax Manager to oversee our tax department. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in tax management, particularly in the public accounting sector, and will be tasked with ensuring adherence to federal and state tax regulations. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of both remote and in-office work. The Tax Manager will report directly to the Partners and will have a genuine opportunity for equity participation.
Essential Qualifications:
- CPA certification is mandatory.

- Supervise and manage the preparation and review of tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, S-Corps, C-Corps, 1040 forms, and trusts and estates.
- Develop and implement tax strategies that minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws.
- Lead tax audits, coordinating with auditors and tax authorities as necessary.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to high-net-worth clients, ensuring optimal tax outcomes.
- Stay informed on tax regulatory changes and advise management on their financial implications.
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare financial statements and reports, emphasizing tax implications.
- Create and implement effective tax training programs for the finance team.
- Provide leadership and direction to the tax department, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree in Taxation is highly preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably in the finance sector.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws, with experience in high-net-worth individual, S-Corp, C-Corp, 1040, and trust and estate returns.
- Proven track record in managing tax audits.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a talent for motivating and inspiring a high-performing team.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex tax information and advising on strategic tax planning.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and high-net-worth clients.
- Proficient in tax preparation software and other relevant applications.
