Position Overview
We are in search of a dedicated Inpatient Registered Nurse who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment.
In this role, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating care tailored to various age groups, while embracing family-centered principles and ensuring cost-effective practices.
Key Responsibilities- Conducts and documents thorough assessments of patients and their families, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs in a systematic manner.
- Formulates a personalized care plan based on nursing assessments that reflect the diverse needs of patients and families, ensuring the plan is initiated and documented by the RN within 24 hours of patient admission.
- Implements therapeutic interventions as directed by physicians or nursing standards, adhering to established protocols and policies related to care delivery.
- Monitors and records changes in patients' conditions and abnormal findings, employing appropriate problem-solving techniques and interventions.
- Recognizes potential barriers to learning (emotional, physical, cognitive, etc.) and utilizes effective teaching strategies tailored to the patient's and family's learning capabilities.
- Engages in continuous communication with healthcare team members to facilitate timely diagnostic examinations and efficient patient flow from admission to discharge.
- Demonstrates proficient delegation and prioritization skills in relation to patient care interventions and therapies.
All employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any recommended booster doses, unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.
- A Bachelor's degree or an associate's degree in a relevant field recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing for obtaining and maintaining an RN license, or a technical diploma in nursing with current enrollment in a BSN program, or currently pursuing an MSN through a nursing bridge program is required.
- A valid RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact is mandatory.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- A minimum of one year of professional nursing experience is essential.
- One year of experience in PACU, PICU, NICU, or ICU is preferred.
