Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team at WITRON Service America. As an integral part of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our automated material handling systems.

Salary
$24-$38 per hour, with premium shift differential pay for qualifying evening, night, or weekend shifts. Performance-based bonus opportunities also available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Performance Enhancement: Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems to minimize downtime and maximize system efficiency.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Tasks: Perform a wide range of tasks with minimal supervision, including fault correction, coaching, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaboration: Assist the production team in resolving basic issues and provide guidance on troubleshooting techniques.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements through comprehensive system knowledge and site-specific enhancements.

Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate's degree in industrial technology or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of one to two years of experience in a relevant electrical and/or mechanical role is required. Five years of experience is preferred.
  • Strong skills in electrical (3-phase, 480V, DC, and 24V controls) and mechanical systems are essential.
  • Familiarity with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors/gears) is necessary.
  • Knowledge of control technology (PLC/controls/inverters) is required.
  • Understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring techniques is vital.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary system monitoring programs, is necessary.
  • Experience maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:
  • Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
  • Working at heights of up to 80-100 feet while wearing fall-arrest gear and other PPE.
  • Lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
