About the Role

As a Mechanic at First Student, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles. Our team of technicians performs routine maintenance and repairs to ensure our buses are in top condition for transporting students and passengers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
  • Complete work orders and troubleshoot issues needing repair
  • Assist with mobile emergency services and ensure prompt resolution of vehicle issues
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a CDL (training provided)
  • Basic mechanic's tool set and willingness to learn and develop skills through ASE testing
