Key Responsibilities
  • Security Clearance Processing: Initiate and perform extensive FBI indices checks, arrest record checks, and other relevant investigations to obtain pertinent information for clearance adjudication.
  • Investigative Analysis: Review and critically analyze investigative reports and correspondence from the field to ensure conformance to administrative requirements and to determine the adequacy of investigations.
  • Clearance Adjudication: Prepare and submit recommendations for the approval, denial, or revocation of security clearances and access authorizations, providing supporting analysis and data.
  • Policy Development: Participate in the formulation, preparation, and direction of new and revised rules, regulations, guidelines, processes, and procedures related to personnel security programs.
  • Security Briefings: Conduct security briefings on Security Awareness and Hostile Threat, revising briefings as necessary to address specific issues and security requirements.
  • Customer Support: Engage with internal and external customers to ensure the assigned program/project is fully integrated, leveraging current threat intelligence to enhance or modify procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively and efficiently in a team environment, relating well to others and demonstrating a strong commitment to the company's goals.
Requirements
  • Active Top Secret US Government Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret clearance and be a US citizen to maintain clearance.
  • Experience: Seven (7) years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree with seven (7) years' experience or Associate's Degree with nine (9) years' experience.
  • Skills: Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite, and experience with various Federal LE and IC IT systems for conducting automated record checks.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in conducting established Federal Government standards for investigations, BIs, and security investigations relating to suitability and security standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree: Advanced degree in any field of study.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of DOJ and FBI regulations regarding the personnel security process.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a security leadership role.
  • Security Disciplines: Strong understanding of security disciplines, including Federal Investigative Standards (FISs), Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs), Executive Orders (EOs), and U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (US CFR).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle office equipment, use fingers and hands to type or write, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, reach, carry, stoop, kneel, climb, etc.
  • Work Environment: This position is performed in a traditional office environment.
