About the Role

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a skilled Imaging Specialist to join the Biomedical Imaging Center (BIC) team.

Job Description

This full-time position involves coordinating the delivery of MRI services to our user-base, providing expert technical guidance and training to enhance and expand our user support. The ideal candidate will have experience in the application of MRI to biomedical research, excellent presentation and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office or equivalent packages.

Salary Range: $60,000 + depending on qualifications

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates the maintenance and daily operations of clinical and preclinical MR systems
  • Provides specialist technical support to users for human and pre-clinical MR imaging and spectroscopy
  • Conducts MRI-related training of research personnel
  • Assists BIC users with their research studies by acting as an experienced Level 2 scanner operator
