Job Title: OPS Dental Hygienist

Join the State of Florida team as an OPS Dental Hygienist and contribute to the health and well-being of our citizens.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As an OPS Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, working closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, and other dental treatments as prescribed by dentists.
  • Review medical history, document patient information, and perform charting and head and neck screening.
  • Take radiographs according to clinic guidelines and provide dental sealants, fluoride treatments, and other preventive dental services.
  • Work with dentists to provide excellent patient care, communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in office meetings, comply with DOH policies, and complete mandatory training.
Requirements:
  • Current Florida Dental Hygiene license.
  • Current/active CPR certificate.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate with patients and colleagues, and manage time efficiently.
