Journeyman Painter

District Council #4 represents a growing force of 2,000 active and retired men and women in 33 counties of Western and Central New York.

Our members work in the Finishing Trades as skilled painters, applying their expertise to various settings, including industrial and commercial environments.

As a member of District Council #4, you will be part of a dynamic team that is recognized as one of the most active unions in the labor movement.

Our members contribute to their communities through service, fighting for workers' rights, and effective political mobilization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cutting in with brushes and sprayers
• Painting using brushes and sprayers
• Able to accurately measure and read a tape measure and other devices
• Blueprint reading a plus
• Able to communicate effectively
• Comprehensive Listening Skills
• Travel to job sites every morning
• Hand tool knowledge a plus
• Complete tasks in a timely fashion
• Attention to detail
• Ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your coworkers

Requirements:

• Reliable Transportation
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to work at heights (climb ladders, walk stilts, work off scaffolds, etc.)
• OSHA 10 preferred
