Job Overview

We're seeking a skilled Lead Android Engineer to drive the development of our mobile applications. As a senior member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, efficient, and user-friendly features that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-quality Android client code solutions that align with our product strategy and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, UX/UI designers, quality engineers, product owners/analysts to deliver engaging, purposeful, and powerful customer experiences.
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies, ensuring all team commitments are met on time and of the highest quality.
  • Advocate for the mobile platform through internal and external developer communities, promoting best practices and influencing group discussions.
  • Mentor junior to mid-level team members, fostering growth and sharing expertise.
  • Engage with developers across various disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.), driving collaboration and innovation.
  • Lead the delivery of major components and platform needs, partnering with senior engineers and architects to ensure seamless integration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not apply).
  • At least 3 years of experience building Android applications.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Kotlin.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience building Android applications.
  • 4+ years of experience with Kotlin.
  • 2+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile practices.
