Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Starr Regional Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition
  • Establish a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires
  • Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment
  • Document patient care given
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
  • Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
  • Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Nursing: Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing: Preferred
  • Registered Nurse RN License in the State of TN or another compact state
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
