Specialist in Diagnostic and Surgical Pathology

The pathologist will work with two other pathologists at the hospital, handling a caseload of approximately 4,000 specimens annually. This includes hematopathology cases, such as bone marrow biopsies and peripheral blood smear reviews, as well as surgical pathology cases involving biopsies, large excisions, and intraoperative consultations.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic tests on tissue samples, including bone marrow biopsies and peripheral blood smears
- Analyze cytology specimens, such as pleural fluids and ascitic fluids
- Collaborate with interventional radiology to interpret bone marrow procedures
- Participate in intraoperative consultations for endoscopic and bronchoscopic procedures, as well as frozen sections
