Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

Chenega Corporation EH&F is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing medical histories, physical examinations, and reviews of required medical tests and documentation pertaining to consultations and medical histories on applicants for the Armed Forces.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to assess the health and fitness of applicants for military service.
  • Review and analyze medical test results and documentation to determine the suitability of applicants for military service.
  • Secure a comprehensive health history from applicants and record findings.
  • Arrange medical consultations with specialists as needed to determine the suitability of applicants for military service.
  • Ensure that all medical records and documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Apply accession medical standards to determine the suitability of applicants for military service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with applicants and colleagues.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree from a program accredited by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certificate Program (ANPCP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Minimum of one (1) year post-graduate experience in direct patient care within the last three (3) years.
  • Current certification of Basic Life Support (BLS) Training from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross training for Healthcare Providers.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic procedures.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit and talk or hear for extended periods.
  • Ability to use repeated motions with the arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Occasional walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Estimated Salary/Wage: Up to USD $61.51/Hr.
