Position Summary:

The Metal Estimator and Programmer will work closely with our Metal Fabrication Sales team to deliver accurate estimates of production costs and timelines for our tailored metal processing services. This position also includes programming CNC lasers and press brakes, contributing to our operational excellence.

Key Duties:

  • Analyze customer requests and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
  • Advise clients on design and manufacturing options to optimize outcomes.
  • Generate comprehensive production plans and cost estimates for clients.
  • Utilize CAD-CAM software to program metal processing machinery.
  • Engage with clients to assess their needs and foster new business opportunities.
  • Assist manufacturing by implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Promote continuous improvement through data-driven methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in estimating and planning is preferred.
  • Familiarity with programming CNC sheet processing machinery is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks or Inventor 3D modeling is desired.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T and welding symbols.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Experience with MS Excel and MRP systems is a plus.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Two to four years of relevant industry experience.
