Job Summary:
The University of Arizona is seeking a highly skilled Histotechnologist II to join our team at the Tissue Acquisition and Cellular and Molecular Analysis Shared Resources (TACMASR) Core. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing technical procedures to support the daily operations of the core facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform immunohistochemistry and histological procedures to support research and clinical activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and quality.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of tissue and slide samples, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in histotechnology or a related field.
- Completion of an accredited histotechnology program is preferred.
