Job Title: Mechanical Inspector

Verify is seeking a skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our team. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to supplier facilities to perform inspections
  • Inspect parts against engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications
  • Report inspection results directly to the customer via web application
Requirements:
  • Practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex mechanical and machined parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs)
  • Experience using mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers
  • Knowledge of AS9102 Rev. B standard and experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs)
  • Minimum of five years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military/defense manufacturing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment
  • Independent contractor (1099) with LLC/DBA or ability to obtain
