Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at White Plains Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and special procedure imaging, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting radiologists as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and special procedure imaging using MRI equipment
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and documentation
  • Assist radiologists during procedures as necessary
  • Perform quality assurance and calibrations as needed
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all areas, equipment, and accessories
  • Print patient CDs as needed
  • Perform routine office duties, such as answering phones and checking previous reports
  • Notify front desk staff upon exam completion
  • Introduce themselves and educate patients regarding the examination
  • Attend staff meetings and in-services
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT)
  • Must become ARRT MR certified within 1 year of hire
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • IV certification preferred or by completion of 6 months
  • Safety certification level 2 required yearly

Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside all of the MRI zones to access coils, patients, and paperwork. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery. The person in this position frequently communicates with patients who have questions about their bills/financial obligations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
