Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing academic, educational, and social-emotional concerns.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' abilities and develop strategies to support their academic success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to provide responsive services and support students' academic and personal growth.
  • Develop and implement counseling programs to promote social-emotional learning, character development, and academic achievement.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and provide support to students experiencing bullying or other social-emotional challenges.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field.
  • Virginia licensure in School Counseling or eligibility for licensure.
  • At least 3 years of experience in teaching or counseling, preferably in an elementary education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary range: $53,500-$99,368 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Additional compensation for Doctorate or National Board Certification.
