About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at the Justice, Bureau of Prisons/Federal Prison System. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental treatment and assist dentists with various procedures.
  • Ensure all work surfaces, equipment, and instruments are properly disinfected and sterilized.
  • Maintain and use automated processing equipment.
  • Establish and manage dental records, including medical records.
  • Schedule patients, prepare call-outs, and supervise inmate patients.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of expendable supplies and prepare purchase requests.
  • Perform maintenance and minor repairs on dental equipment.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must meet the credentialing standards in 42 CFR Part 75 for radiologic procedures.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience in dental assistance or a related field.
  • Must have completed a program that certifies them to administer X-rays or perform radiologic procedures.
