Job Overview
Leidos is seeking a skilled Electronics Engineer to provide support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the Eastern Service Area. This role involves daily operations of the FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS) Program, which aims to design, build, operate, and maintain the FAA's next-generation communications platform.

About FENS
FENS is the successor to the FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) contract, implemented in 2002 to provide over 30,000 communications services to more than 4,500 facilities within the National Airspace System. The program requires the engineer to evaluate existing site surveys, develop scope of work for site preparation requirements, conduct site surveys at remote sites, and draft site preparation scope of work based on site survey reports and facility data.

Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will identify FENS contract CLINs required to complete site preparation, develop cost estimates, review contractor site prep proposals for accuracy and compliance with scope of work, generate ORM PRP's for site preparation and installation of FENS equipment, and oversee site prep and installation work performed by FENS contractor.

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience. Additionally, they should possess proficiency in MS Office Suites, ability to travel 25%-50%, and ability to obtain a Public Trust Suitability. A Master's degree with 2-6 years of experience may also be considered. Desired qualifications include proficiency working with AutoCAD or similar tools and knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Assoc (NFPA) standards, and National Airspace System Equipment Tower. Knowledge of Corporate Work Plan (CWP) 4.1.12 is also preferred.
