Compensation: $25.00 per hour

Vannguard Utility Partners is on the lookout for dedicated Underground Utility Locators to join our workforce. This role offers the chance to work independently in a drug-free environment, ideal for those who appreciate outdoor activities.

As an Underground Utility Locator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safety and preventing damage to underground utilities. Your responsibilities will include utilizing advanced mapping tools and specialized equipment to identify underground cables, pipes, and other utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to job sites using a company vehicle in response to various requests.
  • Employ mapping tools and locating equipment to accurately identify underground utilities, including electric, gas, and communication lines.
  • Mark utility locations using paint and flags, and relay pertinent information to excavation teams.
  • Be available for after-hours emergency call-outs as per the established schedule.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient in computer usage
  • Valid driver's license in the relevant state
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Drive significant distances daily as required by job assignments
  • Frequent entry and exit from a vehicle

  • Lift and carry weights ranging from 50 to 150 pounds
  • Work outdoors in all types of weather

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Licensing:

COVID-19 Considerations: This position primarily involves outdoor work with minimal interaction with others.
