Position Information:

The Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. Key responsibilities include:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Match invoices to receiving documents to ensure accurate payment processing.
  2. Review all invoices for proper documentation and approval prior to payment.
  3. Print and obtain signatures on all accounts payable checks.
  4. Distribute signed checks as required.
  5. Post invoices into the computer system for seamless financial tracking.
  6. Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Generate accounts payable and refund checks as needed.
  8. Research vendor statements, phone calls, and discrepancies to resolve any issues.
  9. File paid and unpaid invoices and statements in a secure and organized manner.
  10. Assist in monthly closings to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  11. Maintain a cooperative and professional demeanor with colleagues.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training.
  • Excellent communication and mathematical skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and present information effectively.
Work Environment:

The work environment is quiet, with regular exposure to a computer monitor. The physical demands of this role include sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and using a computer. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
