Job Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor is tasked with overseeing and directing the efficient execution of maintenance operations to ensure the seamless functionality of all machinery and equipment.
This role involves leading maintenance teams, collaborating with external contractors and vendors, and working alongside engineering departments to facilitate equipment modifications or installations. Additionally, the supervisor will troubleshoot and address various technical challenges related to equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and safety programs.
- Provide training on the proper use of personal protective equipment and implement strategies to enhance workplace ergonomics.
- Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management Standards and promote skill development among team members.
- Oversee the management and upkeep of High-Pressure Boiler, Compressed Air Systems, Hot Water Generation, and HVAC systems.
- Coordinate team schedules, manage attendance records, conduct monthly safety meetings, and fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Post-secondary education, including specialized training, vocational education, or college coursework. Completion of Tyson Level 8 training in the MT or ERT program is highly regarded.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance is preferred. Familiarity with Anhydrous Ammonia Mechanical Refrigeration and High-Pressure Boiler maintenance is advantageous.
Communication Skills:
Must possess the ability to articulate thoughts clearly, actively listen, and comprehend spoken ideas. Strong written communication skills are essential.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in basic PLC operations and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level. Experience with SAP is a plus.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel, approximately 1 to 5 trips annually.
Supervisory Skills:
This role includes the responsibility of supervising a team engaged in similar tasks and activities.
