Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care and coordinating all unit/department functions during the assigned shift.

Working alongside other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and assesses nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to foster an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.


Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.

- Engage in the continuous evaluation of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other management team members.

- Work with subject matter experts and fellow managers to cultivate a collaborative environment that promotes improved outcomes and service.

- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.

- Support facility efforts to enhance engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.

- Provide input regarding the recruitment, selection, and training of new staff.

- Recommend and implement actions related to training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy adherence, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to ensure a superior organization.

- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor aspects in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity standards.
- Ensure proper inventory control and assist in managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:


- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- STABLE certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse license required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
