We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse I to join our General Surgery/Trauma team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs, and develop and implement individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients, and direct and guide ancillary personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, and administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including attending physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, residents, and fellows, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and patients.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
