Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care, educates patients and their families, and promotes healthy outcomes. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our healthcare team, and maintaining a safe and respectful environment for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the provider in collecting patient data and implementing care plans.
  • Provide ongoing education and support to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Triaging patient portal messages and phone calls.
  • Performing basic wound care, suture/staple removal, and dressing changes.
  • Medication reconciliation and prior authorization requests.
  • Managing the provider's clinical inbox and preparing clinical components for review.
Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
  • Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in the State of Maryland.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • CPR and first aid certification required.
  • Experience with EMR and phlebotomy.
  • Professional demeanor and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
