Job Summary

As a Lead Radiologic Technologist at the Detroit Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our radiology department. Under general supervision, you will function as a lead or resource person for personnel involved in radiologic procedures, performing duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the flow of work, delegate tasks, and oversee staff in carrying out their duties.
  • Monitor work quantity and quality to ensure efficient completion.
  • Ensure prescribed diagnostic procedures are performed according to department standards.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including performance appraisals, hiring decisions, and progressive disciplines.
  • Assist with monitoring performance improvement plans and scheduling of radiologic technologists.
  • Monitor activities for compliance with laws, government regulations, and DMC policies.
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS) training required.
  • Two years of progressively more responsible radiologic work experience.
