As a Commercial Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and emergency service calls, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and ensuring seamless system operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and emergency service calls to troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning or inoperative equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to junior technicians and trainees to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and optimize system performance.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of service activities, hours worked, and other relevant information.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar technical position.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems.
  • Familiarity with local and national codes, as well as test equipment such as multimeters, battery analyzers, and decibel meters.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screening.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

This role requires:

  • The ability to work in extreme weather conditions and harsh environments.
  • Regular standing, walking, sitting, twisting, and using hands to handle objects.
  • Lifting up to approximately 50 pounds and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle for extended periods and travel on short notice.
