We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Health Nurse to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in promoting and protecting the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas counties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a wide range of public health nursing services, including family planning, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, immunizations, well women, child health, and breast exams.
- Focus on the prevention of illness, injury, or disability, and the promotion of health and maintenance of populations.
- Work to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas counties, and be flexible to fill nursing needs at all district locations.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- One year of PHN experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire.
- CPR certification.
