Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Analyst to join our team at the California ISO. The successful candidate will be responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and repair of electrical, HVAC, and fire/life safety systems and equipment at our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor and analyze building monitoring and control systems daily to identify and respond to anomalies requiring immediate attention.
  • Contract Management: Review and analyze vendor proposals, prepare financial summary reports, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Facility Projects: Identify, coordinate, and implement facility projects and programs to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of campus operations.
  • Vendor Management: Serve as a central point of contact for facility vendor activity, research, evaluate, solicit quotations, and recommend contract options.
  • Financial Management: Assist the department manager with ensuring contracted services meet fiscal goals and department contractor budget requirements.
  • Safety and Compliance: Support a safety culture and workplace environment that targets zero accidents, collaborate with Safety Specialist to identify potential areas of concern, and conduct regular inspections of the work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent education, training, or experience in Business, Procurement, Finance, Accounting, Project Management, Facilities Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Equivalent years of education and training, plus two (2) or more years related experience, with experience in a critical facility or data center environment.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills, with a demonstrated attention to detail, ability to use deductive reasoning and analytical thinking, and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Building Systems: Experience with chiller plants, heating and cooling systems, building management systems, critical electrical systems, emergency generators, transfer switchgear, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, or Power Distribution Units (PDU).
  • Project Management: Experience in project management, with knowledge of applicable building methods and building codes.
  • Contract Management: Experience in contract management, with ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
