Accountant I Job Description

At Alliance Cancer Specialists, we are seeking an experienced Accountant I to support our month-end close process. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and reconciling balance sheets and profit and loss statements, preparing journal entries, and maintaining general ledger accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required, and a CPA or MBA is preferred.

The Accountant I will work closely with our financial team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing financial schedules and journal entries
  • Maintaining cash clearing account reconciliations
  • Leading the coordination and processing of accounts payable
  • Supporting monthly close of ACS and related management companies
