The Orthodontic Associate role is a full-time position, operating Monday through Friday across our various locations.

The ideal candidate for the Orthodontic Associate position will possess a minimum of three years of experience in orthodontic care, including proficiency in Invisalign, and the capability to manage a busy practice with over 50 patients daily.

We operate as a fee-for-service PPO organization, providing an internal referral network, a specialized orthodontic team comprising clinical and administrative staff, a positive work atmosphere, and flexible scheduling options.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting various diagnostic assessments to evaluate patients' dental conditions.
  • Reviewing patient records, including dental histories, plaster models, and X-rays, to formulate treatment strategies.
  • Communicating treatment plans and financial estimates to patients.
  • Addressing occlusion issues and other dental conditions.
  • Guiding assistants on orthodontic procedures and methodologies.
  • Collaborating with other dental professionals, such as general dentists and oral surgeons, to integrate orthodontic services into comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Fitting patients with different orthodontic devices.
  • Arranging regular follow-up appointments to adjust orthodontic appliances and monitor patient progress.
  • Educating patients on ongoing orthodontic care and proper oral hygiene practices.
  • Providing referrals to other specialists, such as oral surgeons, when necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
  • Completion of orthodontic studies accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA).
  • Membership in the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various orthodontic molds and appliances.
  • Experience with hand tools (e.g., periodontal scalers, band pluggers) and diagnostic equipment (e.g., digital X-rays, 3D imaging).
  • Active dental license in Texas.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong patient management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
