PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

This position involves supporting and assisting certified electrical technicians in the evaluation, repair, testing, adjustment, installation, and removal of electrical systems within a nuclear power facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct inspections and maintenance on the following systems and their associated control equipment and wiring: Motors, Generators, Transformers, Switches, and Electrical Signal and Communication Systems.
  • Identify and rectify faults in electrical circuits and equipment.
  • Install testing apparatus on electrical systems.
  • Create detailed documentation of complex electrical wiring through schematic diagrams.
  • Complete foundational training and achieve qualifications to independently perform basic maintenance tasks, including the use of measuring and testing equipment, power tools, and soldering.
  • Finish advanced maintenance training and hands-on evaluations successfully.
  • After completing training, perform assigned tasks under the direct supervision of qualified electrical technicians until experience requirements are met.
  • Fulfill emergency response responsibilities as assigned.
  • Carry out additional duties as required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Relevant technical training, trade school experience, or practical work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Possess a strong technical aptitude demonstrated by passing the EEI Tech test.
  • Comply with Company and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) psychological, drug, alcohol, and medical testing policies and regulations.
  • May require certification and recertification with periodic reviews as mandated by NRC or industry standards.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of this role.
  • Any legal or regulatory modifications affecting the duties or qualifications of this position will be incorporated into this job specification.

HOURLY PAY RATE: $41.20
