ROLE OVERVIEW
The Clinical Nutrition Specialist plays a crucial role in our treatment team, focusing on delivering personalized nutritional support to clients in recovery. This position requires a compassionate approach to nutrition, ensuring that each client receives the care they need to thrive.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct thorough nutritional assessments for new clients, addressing their unique needs and goals.
- Develop customized care plans that include meal planning, supplement suggestions, and recovery strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress towards their nutritional objectives, adjusting plans as necessary.
- Facilitate regular follow-up sessions to review progress and set new goals.
- Participate in family sessions to provide education and support.
- Lead nutrition and wellness groups, focusing on body image and mindful eating practices.
- Support clients during meal times, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to enhance client outcomes and maintain effective communication.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nutrition and dietary care.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Dietitian with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Experience in eating disorder treatment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of family-based therapy and intuitive eating principles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.
- Commitment to ethical practices and professional standards.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Health clearance from a medical provider.
- Negative tuberculosis screening.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and engage in frequent computer work.
