Job Summary

Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center is seeking a highly skilled Certified Nurse Midwife/WHNP to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to our patients, delivering Women's Health care, including OB/GYN care, and monitoring clinical performance to ensure medical services and operations are in compliance with all applicable regulatory and licensing agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform health assessments, including thorough histories and physical examinations, ordering or performing diagnostic tests, evaluating psychosocial and family aspects of situations, and diagnosing common acute and chronic conditions within the field of OB/GYN.
  • Promote and maintain Women's health, including planning periodic health assessments and screenings, assessing and guiding patients on health hazards, good family health habits, and family planning.
  • Stay current on best practices within the field of OB/GYN and Women's health.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to educate patients and the target community on preventive health care and health maintenance concepts.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth to ensure continued expertise as a practitioner.
  • Attend internal and external meetings, workshops, and conferences, and participate on task forces or committees as necessary.
  • Model TVHC's Service Excellence Standards in all internal and external relationships and address service excellence deficits in staff.
  • Provide additional support within and outside the clinical arena as requested to ensure the organization's ongoing success.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years' experience as a WHNP/CNM.
  • Current, valid license to practice medicine in California, including DEA license and CPR certification.
  • Previous experience providing medical care in a community health center environment is preferred.

  • Willingness and ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to utilize computer technology and adapt to evolving technological requirements.
  • Ability to travel to designated locations to perform duties.
