Job Title: Registered Nurse - Psychiatric Research Institute

Join the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) team as a Registered Nurse in the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI). As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct care to patients with a variety of needs, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and document patient assessment data, developing individualized plans of care that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Evaluate patient progress, administering medication as needed and ensuring that care is consistent with patient-centered principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, promoting a positive and supportive environment for all.
  • Participate in recruitment and retention efforts, contributing to the development of nursing practice standards that are evidence-based and aligned with ANA standards.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Arkansas.
  • Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethic, and accountability.
