Job Overview

Craftsmen Contractors LLC is seeking an experienced HVAC Duct Mechanic Foreman to lead our commercial ductwork installation team in the Panama City, Florida area.

This is a long-term, ongoing project working day shifts (starting at 6:30am) Mondays through Fridays. The position is temporary to permanent.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a thorough background check.

Compensation for this role is $28 - $30 per hour, depending on experience.

No per diem is offered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of duct/HVAC workers
  • Develop and manage work schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with approved plans and specifications
  • Report project progress to senior management
  • Act as a liaison between construction workers and supervisors to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols and best practices
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure high standards of workmanship
  • Install ductwork and duct fittings in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and industry standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete ducting installations as per approved drawings
  • Adhere to correct installation practices, standards, and safety measures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, produce materials and material take-offs
  • Interpret equipment submittals and manufacturer's installation manuals
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience working as an HVAC Duct Mechanic Foreman in commercial settings, with expertise in both metal and duct board installation
  • Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams and electrical systems
  • Ability to handle physically demanding workloads
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with hoods, exhaust fans, other mechanical equipment, and copper piping is a plus
  • Pass a thorough background check in accordance with local laws and regulations
