Christus Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle division, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of patient accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement for all services provided by Christus Health.
Key Responsibilities- Account Resolution: Ensure all processes are performed in a timely and efficient manner to resolve outstanding balances for Christus Health patient accounts.
- Revenue Cycle Functions: Perform Revenue Cycle functions in a manner that meets or exceeds Christus Health's key performance metrics.
- Quality and Productivity Standards: Ensure PFS departmental quality and productivity standards are met.
- Customer Communication: Respond to all types of account inquiries through written, verbal, or electronic correspondence.
- Payor-Specific Knowledge: Maintain payor-specific knowledge of insurance and self-pay billing and follow-up guidelines and regulations for third-party payers.
- Cash Reconciliation: Ensure all payments are retrieved and posted accurately and timely through reconciliation of patient accounting system and bank statement.
- Education: HS Diploma or equivalent years of experience required. Post HS education preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience preferred. Experience working within a multi-facility hospital business office environment preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding regulations and guidelines. Professional and effective written and verbal communication.
