Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and perform all work orders assigned to maintenance for the Church and School
  • Oversee the ordering of consumable goods and materials needed to complete work orders
  • Supervise and perform daily, weekly, and monthly task lists
  • Obtain quotes for high-dollar machinery and projects
  • Ensure all interior and exterior mechanical systems are working properly
  • Remove snow from all sidewalks around all buildings
  • Clean carpets as needed
  • Wax and polish vinyl floors as needed
  • Fix any equipment not working
  • Order material and parts as needed
  • Get quotes for high-priced items or services
  • Reconcile and submit all maintenance bills for payment
  • Ensure the complex grounds are clean and safe
  • Supervise volunteers for projects

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Associate Degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of construction or equivalent knowledge
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Personal characteristics: able to work with children, use professional language, be a team player
  • Certifications: New Employee Safety Orientation, Defensive Driver, Asbestos Awareness, Hazard communication, Safety Data Sheets, Bloodborne Pathogen, Safe Environment Training (SET)
