We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse ICU RN to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Travel Nurse ICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an Intensive Care Unit setting.
Job Summary:This is a travel nurse position for a Travel Nurse ICU RN in an Intensive Care Unit setting. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
Responsibilities:- Provide basic bedside care to patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Order and evaluate diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
- Take samples for lab work, order corresponding lab work and interpret reports.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, and interpret and record electronic displays.
- Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing.
- Communicate patients' conditions to family members.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- 2 years of recent acute care experience.
