We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team at the Health Care District of Palm Beach County. As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and adolescents, and/or families.
Key Responsibilities- Establishes Positive Relationships: Develops and maintains positive, trusting relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conducts Assessments and Diagnoses: Conducts initial assessments for therapy and treatment recommendations for adults and adolescents with diagnosis in the DSM.
- Develops Individualized Treatment Plans: Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
- Provides Counseling and Treatment: Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment, and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
- Conducts Ongoing Assessments: Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress.
- Communicates Effectively: Communicates effectively with other members of the care team across all disciplines when appropriate to coordinate care.
- Identifies At-Risk Patients: Identifies at-risk patients appropriately in crisis situations and applies appropriate interventions.
- Maintains Confidentiality: Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress, and follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.
- Education: Masters degree or doctorate in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field required.
- Experience: Three years clinical experience.
- Certification: Basic Life Support certification required.
- Licensure: Current and valid State of Florida License in Mental Health Counseling or Licensed Clinical Social Worker license required or Licensed clinical psychologist.
