Compensation: $20/hour plus an additional $1.50/hour for 2nd and 3rd shift work.

  • 2nd Shift: 3pm - 11:30pm

Overtime: Mandatory on weekends.

Position Summary

U.S. Engine Valve is seeking skilled Machine Operators, also referred to as Product Technicians, to engage in our machining processes. The role involves operating automated machinery and ensuring the quality of produced parts, along with managing tool and material changes as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and maintain production machinery for precise operations including shearing, friction welding, heat treating, grinding, turning, and drilling.
  • Follow safety guidelines while operating production equipment.
  • Perform equipment set-ups and conduct light maintenance, troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate oil and coolant levels in machinery.
  • Adjust machines and tooling to ensure products meet specified tolerances.
  • Accurately complete production documentation, including first piece approvals and scrap tickets.
  • Utilize specified gauges to verify product tolerances.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Knowledge of automated machine operations is essential.
  • Ability to set up and maintain machinery for close tolerance operations.
  • Familiarity with maintaining proper oil and coolant levels.
  • Experience in adjusting machinery and tooling to uphold product tolerances.
  • Proficient in completing production documentation accurately.
  • Physical capability to perform essential functions, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Willingness to undergo a minimum of 6 weeks of training, with potential for additional training as needed.
