Job Title: Commercial Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Estimator to join our team at Specialized Recruiting Group in Charlotte, NC. As a Commercial Estimator, you will play a critical role in reviewing project plans and specifications to meet our customers' expectations by acquiring competitive pricing for the entire scope of work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and download customer plans via builder portals
  • Inspect plans and specifications of projects
  • Generate pricing templates and builder format pricing sheets
  • Create and maintain a structured data filling format
  • Achieve expectations on bid volume and hit rates
  • Work with the back office to create efficiencies with material orders and labor payables
  • Verify all builder contract documents for approval
  • Create templates
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of commercial framing/drywall estimating experience
  • Estimating experience spanning across multiple building types
  • Extensive knowledge in reading schematics & blueprints
  • Extensive knowledge of building components and functions
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Multi-Family experience a plus
  • Paint Estimating experience a plus
  • Proficient with estimating software and cost software preferred but not required (Plan Swift and SAGE)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
