Job Overview

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Port Arthur, Texas. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for reconditioning pumps from the field, machining parts for internal pump components, and operating manual lathes, drill presses, and knee mills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recondition pumps from the field and machine parts for internal pump components
  • Operate manual lathes, drill presses, and knee mills
  • Read blueprints to custom make job shop parts
  • Work with a variety of metals, including cast iron, bronze, carbon steel, stainless steel, and duplex stainless steel
  • Meet tight tolerances, with a goal of +/- 0.0005
Requirements
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Manual Machinist
  • Experience with manual lathes and drill presses
  • Ability to measure with high accuracy
  • Ability to read blueprints and convert fractions to decimals
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and share knowledge
