Program Director Opportunity

The Creative Heads is seeking an accomplished Program Director to lead our Master's of Design (MDes) program. As a seasoned academic leader, you will provide vision and direction to the program, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. With your expertise in design pedagogy and administration, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality educational experiences that meet the evolving needs of designers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the MDes program, aligning with the university's goals and objectives.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners, to promote the program and secure resources.
  • Maintain a strong focus on program quality, ensuring that all aspects of the MDes experience meet the highest standards.
  • Leverage your knowledge of design education and research to inform curriculum development and improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to address challenges and seize opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the program.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Terminal degree in a design field (any area).
  • Tenured faculty member of design (any area) at the associate or full professor rank.
  • 5+ years of experience with teaching and/or advising at the graduate level.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading academic programs and teams.
  • Strong understanding of design pedagogy, curriculum development, and assessment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $200,000 per year.
