Job Description

This Registered Professional Nurse position is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our busy Surgical Department. The successful candidate will assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of surgical patients throughout their episode of care.

  • Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintains standards of professional nursing.
  • Implements physician orders and administers medications to the sterile field.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited academic program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
