Job Summary

The Franklin County Sheriffs Office is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to fill Detention Officer positions within the Detention Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing inmate intake, detention care, release, and limited transportation work in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inmate intake, detention care, and release procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Provide limited transportation services for inmates within the facility
• Observe and accompany inmates during internal and external movements
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of inmate facilities and equipment
• Complete record-keeping requirements and maintain accurate documentation
• Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with violent, suicidal, and mentally unstable inmates
• Rotate work areas and shifts as assigned
