Nail Specialty Instructor

Pensacola State College is seeking a skilled and dedicated Professional Nail Educator to join our team.

We are looking for an experienced nail specialist who can teach occupational skills and knowledge to students in a hands-on activity classroom setting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nail specialty, excellent communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate a commitment to the college's mission.

• Teach students in the appropriate safety precautions and the safe operation and use of tools and equipment per state requirements and manufacturer
• Demonstrate occupational materials, tools, equipment, and processes using standard and/or instructor-prepared aides per state requirements
• Control the storage, maintenance, and use of materials and property to prevent loss or abuse
• Establish and maintain standards of student conduct to provide an orderly, safe, and productive environment in a hands-on activity classroom setting

• Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a Nail Specialty Certification/License
• Licensed in the field of Nails for at least six years, a two-year degree with four years' experience, a four-year degree with two years' experience, or a master's degree with one year experience
• Proficiency with various types of manicures, pedicures, acrylic enhancements, tips and overlay, sculpting using a form, nail wraps, nail fill-ins, artificial nail removal, polishing, nail art and gel nails
• A clear understanding of OSHA and sanitization rules and regulations, plus job safety
• Reliable transportation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 based on the location and industry standards.
