Job Description:
As a Student Support Associate at Hoover-Schrum School District 157, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students in the cafeteria and playground areas. Working closely with the Lunch Coordinator and Building Administration, you will be responsible for maintaining order and enforcing school and cafeteria policies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain knowledge of school and cafeteria policies to ensure compliance
• Monitor student conduct in the cafeteria, reminding them to follow procedures and rules
• Carry out disciplinary actions as designated by administration
• Encourage students to use proper manners and clean table areas
• Prevent disputes and problems from occurring
• Actively monitor students in assigned areas
• Maintain safety standards in the cafeteria and playground
• Assist in lunch room clean-up

Physical Requirements:
The ideal candidate must be able to lift up to 5 pounds, stand and patrol areas in adverse weather, and work in an outdoor environment for all seasons.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Good interpersonal relationship skills, using tact, patience, and courtesy, particularly with children
• Ability to deal with dissatisfied individuals
• Good attendance record

Compensation:
$18.39 per hour, 20 hours a week.
