Athletic Training Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Athletic Training Specialist to join our team at Grand View Hospital. As an Athletic Training Specialist, you will provide athletic training services to local area schools with middle and high school student athletes under the direction of the team physician in accordance with state athletic training practice act.
Key Responsibilities- Prevention and Care: Engage in the prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of student athlete injuries.
- Education and Outreach: Educate athletes, coaching staff, and parents on various aspects of injury prevention, first aid, and strength and conditioning.
- Medical Response: Conduct taping and other pregame/pre-practice preparation, communicate confidentially with student athletes, parents, athletic directors, coaches, and physicians regarding student athletes playing status and ability to return to competition or practice.
- Administrative Duties: Perform administrative duties including the maintenance of injury reports for student-athletes, establish an Emergency Action Plan for all sports and venues, and assist with pre-participation medical/orthopedic screenings.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree, required. Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), NATA BOC Certification, and Pennsylvania Athletic Training License, upon hire, required.
